Fun-Filled Learning Activities for Families in Spring

Spring is a great time to enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities with your family. For young children, it provides the perfect time to get out and engage in fun-filled learning activities outdoors. Even when classes end at daycare in Ontario, it does not mean the learning stops. There are numerous fun learning activities to do when the class is over.

As a provider of preschool care in Ontario, we will share a few fun spring activities that foster learning in kids:

  • Go on a hike.

Organize a weekend hike with the family to get some exercise and bond. You can also go birdwatching, go on a nature hunt, or go camping. Hiking provides great opportunities for sensory learning and builds children’s self-confidence too.

  • Start a garden at home.

Now is a good time to start a garden at home with your kids. Children can have fun, play, and learn new skills by spending time in the garden growing their food and tending plants. It is also a form of exercise and a great after school activity that encourages healthy eating.

  • Visit a local park.

Your local park provides the opportunity for you and your family to take part in recreational activities outdoors. You can also visit a community playground in your area which allows children to practice and sharpen their emotional, cognitive, social, and physical skills.
They can interact with other kids, make new friends, and enjoy the spring weather.
