This program is designed to meet the needs of children at this age. During infanthood, children need physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and neurological support with love and nurturing. Important developmental areas include freedom of movement, language development, and a sense of trust.

Freedom of Movement:

Infants learn by watching and moving freely in the environment. Visual senses and tactile experiences provide cognitive and physical challenges. We guide them through movement and carefully monitored exploration, and then encourage them to do what they are ready and willing to do. We reinforce their self-initiated activities while being quietly available.

Language Development:

Infants are spoken to using formal language. We do not use baby talk and communicate with them using a wide range of vocabulary. We introduce them to literature (rhymes, songs, poetry, and stories) to increase their love for language.

Sense of Trust:

Trust is developed by providing for their need to be loved, respected, and accepted. We treat infants as the whole person who responds to the quality of holding and loving and physical care.
